since it was V-Day, the day that holds a rush hour every hour; taxis are untaxis, while me and WaWa needed to rush home quickly! (at this time, we were still in uniform, thus the need to change). luckily there was a jeepney available right there and then, where three people shared that ride with us. three people i was so embarrassed ever to see again.
as much as i am a very shy person, i can also be the loudest ever especially if i am in an unusual heated funny conversation... i seem to just forget that there are other people listening… that they might not actually understand that, uhm… im only joking! heheh! so to say, i was with my loud mood and yes, i forgot that i’m at the moment in a jeepney where i was with three people (one was a woman in her 40’s and two guys in their mid 20’s), and they all witnessed my, uhm (again!)…other side!
it was a lesson, really… that as much as you’d want to share a funny conversation to a friend, others might not think of it as funny at all… so, better keep your voices low, giggle a little, laugh a lot, only keep your voices low still. or to avoid this kind of scenario, why not walk instead, or take a taxi, or get your own car. if this still won’t work, stay at home! pagpuyo! hahahah!
you trust the driver that he will take you safely in his route, in the same way that manong driver trusted you entirely that you will pay for the route you’ve traveled.
each commuter has the responsibility to pass the fare from one to the other until that reaches to manong driver. you trust your fellow commuter that he/she won’t whip out your fare nor your change, in the same way that they trust you if it happens to be you who take that responsibility.
there is also that possibility of being seated right next to a cutie guy (who knows he could be the man of your dreams...) or seeing your crush… or old friends… or plainly observing the people inside the jeepney - some are funny, others are weird, some grumpy, while some are in-the-rush/kalibangon-look (lol), and so on…
so hey, riding a jeepney can be fun, exciting, embarrassing, irritating, dangerous and overwhelming. but i still prefer riding a taxi! hahahah!
kudos to manong driver and to all honest commuters! kudos to all mamomokongs! that’s the spirit! hahaha! *joke*
kudos to me!
